Cat Strollers: Pet Gear Jeep Rubicon & AT3 All Terrain Stroller
I am featuring two different strollers today, the Jeep Rubicon Pet Jogger Stroller and the AT3 All Terrain Stroller, both by Pet Gear.
I don't think that indoor cats should be left entirely inside the house at all times. Fresh air is good for both us 2 legged humans and our furry 4 legged cats. I know some cats don't mind wearing a harness and don't mind going for walks on a leash. But some cats aren't quite that bold, so for them, the next best thing is a cat stroller. It'll give them the excitement and mental stimulation of the great outdoors and it'll get us out of the house too for some much needed exercise!
The 2 strollers that have made my list are the Jeep Rubicon and the AT3, both by Pet Gear.
Pet Gear Jeep Rubicon Pet Jogger Stroller
I consider this THE best cat stroller around. It's big enough to hold 2 large cats or 3 average size cats. It is very stable when you are out and about. AND it looks like a regular baby carriage, if you're worried about people giving you weird glances . . .
The tires are real bike tires so if you ever need a replacement, all you need to do is to take it to the local bike shop. The wheels are large so it provides for a smoother ride when going over bumpy terrain.
The Jeep Rubicon has these features:
Pet Gear AT3 All Terrain Stroller
The Pet Gear AT3 All Terrain Stroller is my second pick. It's slightly cheaper than the Jeep Rubicon, but the front swivels on this model for easier maneuverability, although it's reported that the wheels wear out sooner and because they're not real tires, it's rather hard to get them replaced . . .
One plus is that it comes in blue and red.
The features of the AT3 All Terrain Stroller are:

If you need convincing that cats enjoy stroller rides, watch the following video. It's very cute!
Every cat is unique and not all cats will enjoy outings. But if you notice your cat looking longingly at the outside world, you might want to give the cat stroller a try!

Catfisher Doorknob Hanger Cat Toy
My cats love to try and jump up at toys that are not within easy reaching distance, so this Catfisher Doorknob Hanger Cat Toymakes the perfect self play toy. I have a lot of doorknobs inside my home and they do look rather barren.
This is the perfect solution for both dressing up the doorknob and providing an extra toy for my kitties. Well, maybe dressing up isn't the right word, but this toy doesn't require special fittings to attach, simply a doorknob.
The little replaceable toys at the end of the string have shiny dots on them, which attracts your cat's attention when it sparkles in the light. My cat loves it when I dangle it around! He jumps, flips, and meows in his attempts to catch the toys! It's hilarious watching him.

Litter Box Bench
For those open rectangular litter boxes, here is a solution to keep it out of view and adding a good piece of cat furniture in the process. The Litter Box Benchhas a top that lifts off for easy litter box cleaning. To keep the inside cleaner, it comes with a vinyl liner that can be removed for cleaning in case of scattered litter and spraying outside the litter box.
And again, this one can also be used as a cat cove/cat bed by putting a nice comfy pad inside.

Kittywalk Cozy Cabin Travel Carrier
In Dr. Eckstein's book, "How to Get Your Cat to Do What You Want",he recommends teaching your cat to walk on a leash and then to take him out on outings. For car outings, the Cozy Cabin Travel Carrierprovides both safety and comfort. Unlike traditional crates, this one can be safety belted so it stays put. And it takes up less space along with providing an extra space for cat accessories in the lower compartment. That same lower compartment can also be merged with the upper compartment to make more room for your cat. If you notice, it has portholes for superb ventilation and so your cat can see the outside world.

Good Pet Stuff Hidden Cat Litter Box
If you're looking for a discreet way to hide an unsightly litter box or a discreet cat cove, then the Good Pet Stuff Hidden Cat Litter Boxmight work for you.
I think it's a very ingenious way of hiding a cat litter box. And it doesn't look bad at all. You turn the litter box opening to the wall and nobody would know it was a litter box.
If your color scheme contains brown and if your decor allows for plants, then the Good Pet Stuff Hidden Cat Litter Boxwould definitely fit in.
Alternately, you can turn this into a hidden cat cove by putting a cat bed inside.
And because it's a circular litter box, the World's Best Litter Scoop would work really well with it in keeping it clean.

Zanies Real Fur Rattling Rainbow Mice
My younger cat just loves little mice that rattle. He will carry the mouse everywhere with him. If he hears the rattle, he comes running from wherever he is, even if he's been sleeping. I tell ya, it's like an addiction to little rattling mice.
If I tie a rattling mouse to a string, then both my cats go crazy over it. They'll run in circles just to try and get it. And they do catch it eventually.
A toy that is played with that hard is bound to need replacement. So this Box of 60 Zanies Real Fur Rattling Rainbow Mice in Cheese Box is great because it has 60 mice in the cheese box. This will last quite a while! I haven't been able to find these at my local pet stores, but if you click on the link, you can purchase them online.

How To Get Your Cat To Do What You Want
Cats are smart. Getting them to do what you want is like playing a game of wits. Sometimes it becomes a game of willpower and who can last longer. Dr. Warren Eckstein, however, does an excellent job in explaining the psyche of a cat. And once you understand a cat's psyche, that's when you'll be able to get your cat to do what you want.
One of Dr. Eckstein's recommendations is to teach your cat to walk on a lead so that both of you will be able to enjoy the outdoors safely. He explains this and other ways to train your cat to behave and do trick for you in his book "How to Get Your Cat to Do What You Want".
As is mentioned in the book, training a cat does require patience. They are fast learners, and being the smart creatures they are, they can also be stubborn enough to try and thwart your training if you don't stick to it.
But with patience and lots of love and praise, your cat will reward you with his smartness. You'll be able to get past the stage where your cat looks at you after you ask him to do something and yawns! If you're interested to learn how a cat thinks and you have the patience to play your cat's game, then you should look into Dr. Eckstein's book, "How to Get Your Cat to Do What You Want".
One word of caution though, some of his training tips are in the form of cute cat stories. They are cute and entertaining, but if you think about what's behind the stories, you can learn a lot about cat behavior and thinking. On the other hand, if too much cute turns you green, then this book may not be for you.
With my cat Mickey, I've taught him how to sit, lie down, up, high five, circle, and over in just a matter of months. And I'm trying to think of new tricks to teach him. I don't want him to get bored.

Booda Dome with Cleanstep Cat Litter Box
The Booda Dome with Cleanstep, Iriscat litter box really works. My cat is a big cat! Even the vet was surprised at his size. So I needed a big box for him. Well the Booda Dome with Cleanstepworks great! It's round so he can turn around with ease. And with the step leading up to the box, it really does cut down on tracking (which I hate!).
I've previously used rectangular boxes and the hooded boxes, but tracking would be a nightmare! With this litter box, it looks decent enough, it covers the unsightly litter, keeps the dust inside the box, and cuts down on tracking. My cat does use the stairs when entering and exiting which helps.
I have read reviews that say the tracking is no better because the cat simply jumps in and out instead of using the ramp with the stairs.
For me, a combined solution cuts down drastically on the amount of litter tracked around my house. And that is to use one of those tracking mats. The mat that worked for me is the Petmate Litter Catcher Mat Large. It all depends on your cat and what he/she likes to feel under his/her paws . . . This litter catcher mat has holes to catch the litter and it's made with this soft plasticy material that doesn't feel bad, well to me it doesn't feel bad.
When I first bought this mat, I was thinking it would be a nightmare to clean as it looks like the litter will just settle into the spaces in between the rubber mesh, but as it turns out, it's fairly easy to clean. A simple vacuum will suffice in between the larger cleanups. For the larger cleanups, all I need to do is pick it up and shake and all the litter falls out. If there is dirt other than loose litter, a simple hosing will do.
I bought the large one so it covers more area. Whatever litter makes it out of the Booda Dome falls onto this mat and now the carpet around my cat's box is much nicer looking without all the specks of cat litter that used to be there.
