I don't think that indoor cats should be left entirely inside the house at all times. Fresh air is good for both us 2 legged humans and our furry 4 legged cats. I know some cats don't mind wearing a harness and don't mind going for walks on a leash. But some cats aren't quite that bold, so for them, the next best thing is a cat stroller. It'll give them the excitement and mental stimulation of the great outdoors and it'll get us out of the house too for some much needed exercise!
The 2 strollers that have made my list are the Jeep Rubicon and the AT3, both by Pet Gear.
Pet Gear Jeep Rubicon Pet Jogger Stroller
I consider this THE best cat stroller around. It's big enough to hold 2 large cats or 3 average size cats. It is very stable when you are out and about. AND it looks like a regular baby carriage, if you're worried about people giving you weird glances . . .
The tires are real bike tires so if you ever need a replacement, all you need to do is to take it to the local bike shop. The wheels are large so it provides for a smoother ride when going over bumpy terrain.
The Jeep Rubicon has these features:
- 3 wheels for easy turns.
- Finger braking system to help the adult stop the stroller while using it for a jog.
- Rear shock absorbers and front reflectors for safety.
- Front and rear zippered mesh doors for easy pet access.
- Mesh also provides full protection from bugs and allows for air flow and viewing for the animal.
- Ergonomical foam-padded handle for comfort.
- One-hand fold mechanism for easy folding.
- Parent tray for keys, drinks, leash, etc.
- Large storage basket on the bottom.
- Made from 600 Denier nylon waterproof material.
- Removable, interior waterproof tray for easy cleaning.
- 70-pound-capacity jogging stroller for taking the family pet almost anywhere
- Waterproof nylon exterior; breathable mesh ensures ventilation and visibility
- 3 12-inch air tires, rear shock absorbers, and a finger braking system
- Storage basket and parent tray; travel pump included
- Measures 28 by 14-1/2 by 23 inches
Pet Gear AT3 All Terrain Stroller
The Pet Gear AT3 All Terrain Stroller is my second pick. It's slightly cheaper than the Jeep Rubicon, but the front swivels on this model for easier maneuverability, although it's reported that the wheels wear out sooner and because they're not real tires, it's rather hard to get them replaced . . .
One plus is that it comes in blue and red.
The features of the AT3 All Terrain Stroller are:
- Parent Tray
- Large Storage Basket
- Ergonomic One Hand Fold
- Front and Rear Entry
- Top, Front, and Rear Ventilation
- Rear Wheel Shock Absorbers
- Mesh Windows Protect Against Insects
- Waterproof Tray
- Large 11" Wheels
- Front Step for Easy Pet Access
- Opens and Folds in 5 Seconds
- Convenient 3 Wheel Mobility
- Safety Reflectors for Nighttime
- Wind and Rain Cover

If you need convincing that cats enjoy stroller rides, watch the following video. It's very cute!
Every cat is unique and not all cats will enjoy outings. But if you notice your cat looking longingly at the outside world, you might want to give the cat stroller a try!
